PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Approval experience.
Practical technical leadership.

Led by an experienced Technical Manager holding MEng and BEng (Hons) qualifications and Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB). The adviser’s career portfolio totals £500m+ in project value and more than 2,000 homes, including an individual project valued at £140m.

Direct experience securing BSR Gateway 2 approvals informs how we review design coordination, evidence quality and RFI close-out. You work directly with an experienced technical professional, with clear findings your team can act on.

MCIOB refers to the adviser’s individual membership. GateTwo does not claim CIOB accreditation or endorsement. Project and employer identities remain confidential.

Your BSR review questions.

What does BSR mean, and how does GateTwo help?

BSR stands for the Building Safety Regulator. GateTwo independently reviews the agreed information for your Gateway 2 application to BSR, highlighting evidence gaps, inconsistent documents and outstanding actions. We can also help organise evidence for BSR queries within an agreed scope. GateTwo is not the regulator and does not issue approvals.

Does a Gateway 2 review guarantee BSR approval?

No. Our adviser’s approval experience informs the review, but each project is different. The review identifies issues within the agreed scope. Approval decisions remain with BSR, and appointed dutyholders and designers retain their responsibilities.

Can you review an entire submission?

We first establish building complexity, document volume, specialist interfaces and the depth of review required. A full submission needs a project-specific proposal; the starting fee is not an unlimited review.

Which review should I choose?

The £1,495 gap review is a focused check of one agreed package, capped at 25 files and 250 readable pages. The wider readiness review starts at £3,950, with the building, document set and review depth agreed in your proposal. If you are unsure, outline your submission stage and we will recommend the appropriate scope.

Will you prepare specialist designs or act as Principal Designer?

These services are submission readiness and information coordination reviews. Fire engineering, structural calculations, design certification and statutory dutyholder appointments are separate services and are not included in the advertised packages.

What experience informs the review?

Your review is led by a Technical Manager qualified MEng, BEng (Hons) and MCIOB, with direct experience securing BSR Gateway 2 approvals. Their wider career portfolio covers £500m+ in total project value and more than 2,000 homes, including an individual project valued at £140m. This experience informs evidence reviews, design coordination and RFI close-out. Portfolio totals describe overall career experience, not the value or number of homes approved by BSR. These are the adviser’s credentials, rather than previous GateTwo commissions.

What happens before payment?

Scope, capacity, fees, tax treatment, delivery dates and engagement terms are confirmed in writing. Do not pay against an unconfirmed project scope.
